Only a month late, but what made this fun is that we've started a tradition where I prepare an amazing dinner with shrimp and steak and a fancy salad and rolls. I decorate the table and we have a candlelit dinner with all the kids. A few years ago we tried to do this same dinner after all the kids went to bed but they would not stay in bed and kept getting up and wanting something and finally at some point we just looked at each other and said, well, we tried but the food is cold and we're starving! So now we share this fantastic experience with all the kids. I make Valentine's for everyone and just remind each other that this day is for everyone not just adults. We had a decadent chocolate torte with raspberry sauce for dessert and the kids did the dishes. It was even more fun that it was on Sunday because I felt like we really had a special day.

What fun! I love Valentines Day and the sweet things that holidays inspire me to do with my children and my family. This is a great tradition!
