Leah a full blown 2 year old!

About a month ago we FINALLY took Leah's pacifier away and told her it "broke". Ever since then I have been so surprised at how much she has grown up. One day I was in the middle of doing laundry and left her in my room to put away things downstairs. I got distracted in the kitchen but could hear her on the monitor and she was doing monkey sounds "ooh ooh aahh aahh". It was probably 5 minutes before I went back upstairs and she had climbed on my bed, (something I didn't know she could do since our bed is quite high) tossed 5 loads of folded laundry all over the floor, and then took her favorite pajamas that have monkeys (Tate has the same pattern Julie!) on them and took her own clothes off and put these pjs on. And she was as happy as can be! She was so thrilled that she got to wear her pjs. Since then there have been 3 or 4 times that she has pulled these pjs out of the drawer or off my bed and put them on. It just makes me laugh. I didn't really care about all the folding I'd have to redo. I figured it was my fault for getting distracted! Ohhh my patience levels are so much better for her compared to my other kids as 2 year olds. Leah also used to love love love going down for her naps and she would give me all these signs that she was ready. Like getting her blanket and telling me "Nigh -night". Now she fights me all the way up the stairs screaming and crying and kicking her legs for at least 5 minutes in her bed, then she falls asleep. I miss the docile one! When she says no, she means it! You cannot change her mind. Today I had to hold her tight to get her dressed because she didn't want to. Even though it was only 12 degrees outside and her hands and feet were ice. I finally had to sit on her! She is so funny. She won't let me hold her hand in a parking lot anymore or sit in the shopping cart, forget the stroller--"no way"! She climbs on and off the stools in the kitchen demanding her first course of cereal for breakfast, then throughout the morning she wants to eat oatmeal with me or Jed, or have toast with Devon or pancakes. She is a social eater. She wants to eat whatever and whenever someone, anyone else is eating! The other day we were trying to decide which Barbie movie (we have 2) to watch and she says, "Mom the musketeer one" clear as day. Or driving home from the gym she calls from the back seat, "Mom, I want a cheeseburger!" The older kids probably didn't even have a cheeseburger before the age of 3!

She is a doll. I was actually looking at her on Sunday thinking how cute she is! I am nervous about the taking wawya the binky. I hope it goes as well as it did for you!
