Free time in Washington/Oregon

I didn't take enough pictures but I loved these of Robert and Danelle's family. Don't they look comfortable? On Saturday Quincy drove me to Tim and Danika's house/Jon and Julie's house. I wish I had the words to describe how beautiful the area and house is where they live. The views are breathtaking especially with the rain and the low clouds and the sun breaking through. The house is awesome. The craftmanship is amazing. The attention to detail that you just don't get in a subdivision/type house. My personal favorites are: the ceilings, ohh the woodwork, the detail in the stone in the kitchen, the 6 burner cooktop, the huge garage and the vinyl lettering that is in the bathroom; so creative! I felt so blessed to be able to see the house and spend a few short hours with my brothers. Tim took me in his "lorry" to see the property, driving straight up the hills and around trees. Got stuck a couple times a little scary but really awesome. I felt Tim's joy, his pride in his home and best of all his love for me. Thanks Tim. I missed much time with Jon since he had to leave for work. Sorry bro. Loved talking to Julie and she took some time to show me her "projects"--so creative and I just sat in awe of her! That really was wonderful for me. My favorite was Denver's costume "Tinkerbelle" so fun.
Ok so after that, Robert took me in his car and we drove to Portland and had dinner together at a meat market place that sells kebobs. Delicious. We tried to find a view to look at while we ate in the car since it was raining but then realized that the windows were all fogged up anything from all the heat of dinner. Kinda funny. I felt such a closeness and friendship with Robert that I've missed over the years I think. He's such a loving and generous guy for taking me all alone. Afterwards we drove to their church building for the stake Roadshow. So funny, goofy, crazy, weird, but very entertaining! Great job to my gorgeous niece Leavi for dancing with a boy onstage. Awesome job Kole for holding the batman sign and Jaydn for just looking dashingly handsome being a tough guy. Loved it!
I spent the next 2 days at their house, going to church; playing "ticket to ride" with the whole family--learned quite alot about who likes to win and who likes to know the rules and who likes to just talk (ok that was me)! Loved the feeling of being at their house. Danelle and I went on a killer "walk" up the mountain that she does every day with her friends then a short run and some lunges. I was sore all week! It was awesome, plus it was raining and I just love to exercise in the rain. Except that we went to Jaydn's band performance and Veteran's tribute and froze because we were soaking wet. Good times.
Enough journaling, I think this is the most writing I've done in a while. I came home from this trip energized and ready to take on my world again. I love my husband for all the work he did and for the support he gave me. I never felt any negativity from him the whole time and I am so grateful. When I came home, the house was picked up and he had gotten a lot of "projects" done. I'm so glad my kids also were supportive and loving. Leah ran in a sprint when I came down the elevator from the terminal. She gave me a big hug but then wanted to walk, Miss Independent. But then we spent all of Tuesday reading books and cuddling to make up for my being gone. She also took two naps to make up for it!
