GTD

I'm not as on task with blogging my gratitude but I do love the appreciation that comes from writing what I am grateful for. Today I am grateful that I can go to church every Sunday and that while it sometimes is a chore to get everyone there and looking clean--not to mention disheveled and grumpy--but at least we're clean. We spent Friday night in Bryce Canyon at a beautiful hotel with our kids and while we wished we could stay Saturday night there were no rooms available so we drove home very late getting home close to 1 am. (Jed and I had decided anyway that we didn't want to get in the habit of not attending church during the summer--Lake Powell two weeks ago) so even though both of us were tired and sore from running we (Jed) drove home. When I got up and got ready for church I was so so grateful to be home and able to take part in this wonderful Sunday experience. We went to ward choir practice and sang Come Come Ye Saints one of my favorite songs since my Nauvoo experiences and just felt the Spirit all day long. Our youth went on Trek and they chose 6 youth to share their testimonies about pulling handcarts in the rain and even though we didn't get to sing our choir number because of time, I am so glad we came home last night. Now a disclaimer, our church does not begin until 1:30 so even though I am feeling so awesome about today I was not feeling that awesome earlier this morning dragging myself out of bed unable to bend over or walk down the stairs. But fortunately I got to relax a bit this morning thanks to somewhat reverant kids and an awesome husband. My awesome husband who shaved 7 minutes off his half marathon time and ran 7 minute miles who also can't walk down the stairs. I also beat my time by 5 mintues which was a total surprise!

that is so awesome lisa! i'm so glad you guys came to choir your voices have been missed and when you came I just felt like the choir was complete. I love that Jed sings with Jeremy they seriously make my heart smile when I hear the two of them making up the tenor section. Thanks so much for coming! We'll sing the song next week.

wow, I feel all in shape and sore-muscley, and refreshed by going to church just by reading this. Thanks! Lake Powell looks so wonderful. Vacations are so nice!
