Cannon 11th birthday

I feel pretty bad because I didn't get the camera out and take pictures at Cannon's birthday. I got some at a his Flag football game, to be posted later, but nothing at the great party we had! We had invited anyone who could to meet at Cannon's game. It was his first game and they did so awesome. His team worked pretty well together and I think got into a good rhythmn. They won 24-8. We were also excited because he didn't win a single game last year with a different team. Then everyone came to our house for dinner. We served BBQ chicken and steak with potato salad, fruit salad and pizza for the kids. Jed and Cannon were in charge of an ice cream sundae buffet instead of birthday cake per Cannon's request. They came home from Walmart a few days ago with a huge assortment of candies and cookies to be mix-ins. It was a bit over the top but very fun for the kids. Mom and Dad, Emily and her family, Samuel, Jed's brothers' Wade and Clay, Clay's wife Trista, and Aunt Alana fresh from the airport after 5 months in Alaska. We had so much fun! Cannon wanted a scooter since his old one was stolen last year, we also found a great deal on a sleeping bag, a star wars plane and he got a great first aid kit from Uncle Wade to help him as he starts Boy Scouts. Thanks to all who came and made the celebration so meaningful. We are so grateful for all of your influence in our lives. And thanks to Dad for taking the birthday boy to the Miller Motor Speedway for a race on Saturday morning. Cannon had the best time!
