Training Run

Yay! I went on a 10 mile training run this morning and it was awesome. Brutal, but awesome. The way up was uphill so we were really happy to turn around and start back going downhill. My friend Shauna was a little grumpy when we started because of her calves hurting but as we got going she felt better. That's the great thing about running with someone is when you feel awful, they can help you keep going. She did that a ton when I was pregnant last year and we kept running so I owe her! I have been pretty tired all day but I was able to make it to Rachel's first soccer game where she scored the first goal of the season! Then after lunch we went to a park and played tennis, well a game that resembled tennis anyway! Leah wasn't feeling so well so it was really nice when she fell asleep in the stroller. It was the first sunny and somewhat warm Saturday that we've had in forever so it felt so good to be outside. Jed was a work and I called him and bugged him about missing such a gorgeous day and his kids learning to hit the ball with the tennis racket. Oh well one more year he says!

I am just in awe that you can run that far! I die after the first mile... and I usually have to stop and walk a bit too... and that was a couple of years ago... but I'm pretty sure I'd be able to run 1/8 of a mile without dying :o) Sounds like you had an awesome day in the sun!!

I am so jealous that you can run at all, I am having terrible trouble with my knee(if it isn't one body part it is another with this old lady!)I haven't been able to even walk comfortably with my friends but I still keep going...limp and all. You are my inspiration!

That is so neat! It is amazing that you don't have any knee trouble or anything! What a fun day, and hooray for Rachel!
