Aiden is 1 years old!

Happy Birthday my boy!  This year has really gone by exceptionally fast so it's hard to believe my baby is already one!  Here's some things about Aiden.  He is funny!  He shakes his head at such random times like there's a beat going on when there's no beat.  He also has a low gravelly growl that is hilarious! Devon loves it when Aiden giggles if he crawls fast towards him. He is sweet and still loves to cuddle and kiss and suck and of course bite since he has 4 top teeth and 3 bottom teethers.  Man that kid can hurt ya!  He adores his sister Leah and Leah is one that can always make him happy or laugh or calm down.  Even when she tries to be mommy and carry him all around especially outside since that is Aiden's favorite place to be-crawling around in the grass & dirt.  He loves balls and can entertain himself by rolling balls all around the house.  Oh and he loves trucks too.  Funny boy is just like a boy!  Aiden is obsessed with our heater vents and is always sticking things down them.  We find all kinds of toys and stuff put inside.  So far we've been able to retrieve most things but I'm wondering how much longer the vents will make our house warm.  He also just learned to climb the stairs but it still makes him kinda nervous but there have been a few times that he's determined to go all the way up and does it great.  He sleeps in the room with Devon and although he's not my best sleeper it's nice to have Devon in there to get him up in the morning and take him downstairs.  Aiden is always happy in the morning.  Umm his mother, not so much!  Some of Aiden's favorite foods right now are mandarin oranges, yogurt, string cheese, green beans, cheerios and milk, his bottle (we were encouraged to supplement because he wasn't gaining weight from 5-10 months).  He's looking so much better now and has gained 2 pounds and now weighs 15.9 lbs.  Also Aiden loves paper, tissues, baby wipes.  Anything he can tear apart and suck on.   He was sick for a couple weeks with these awful fever blisters on his mouth and tongue.  It was so hard because he didn't want to nurse or drink the bottle but he also didn't want the pacifier so we threw it away.  Sometimes I am tempted to give it back to him but not tempted enough!  One of the things that's been such a blessing about Aiden is that we have such a strong connection and I know it's because I'm the mom but it's so amazing how often he gets upset or won't stop crying and then he'll stop instantly when I pick him up and address his needs.  Like right now so this is the end of my birthday tribute to Aiden Todd Winder!
