Today the kids and I celebrated the birthday of the Prophet Joseph Smith. He was born December 23rd. I got the idea because at church on Sunday the lesson in Relief Society was about his death and what happened to the Saints after his death. We also have this book called Pinkalicious and the girls have been wanting me to make pink cupcakes for a long time. So I was already in the kitchen all day making cookies for Christmas so I thought, why not! I know they're pink but it was so much fun. We also turned it into a "tea party" celebration with hot chocolate. The cupcakes were a big hit and we had a great time remembering a wonderful prophet. We are so grateful for his role in the Restoration and for the translationg of the Book of Mormon.

Love it! What a cute idea. We will have to celebrate next year. The kids would love it.
